A workshop on "Stress and time management and writing the Board Examination effectively " was organized for classes X and XII students in school on 19.12.19. The resource person for the workshops was Mr. Jitin Chawla, an eminent educational counsellor. The second session with Mr. Jitin Chawla focused on "Effective career selection "and career planning.

Workshop on Stress Management (For Classes X and XII) 06 December 2019

The students of Classes X and XII are appearing for pre-Board and Board Examination for the session 2019-20.

In today's world children are demanded to perform beyond their capacities, be it academics or personal Iife. Although stress is a critical part of everyone's life, it is important to deal with it effectively. Stress, if left untended can lead to life threatening conditions while effective Stress Management will improve mental health resulting in better performance"

The objective of the workshop is to help the students identify the stressors and effectively deal with it.

The Workshop aims at discussing the various concepts of Stress Management and the methods (like meditation, yoga, etc.) through which it can be reduced.

THE ART OF LIVING WORK SHOP

A Workshop was held in Air Force Bal Bharati School, Lodi Road New Delhi-110003 on 23rd and 24th of November, 2019 for the students of our school. Thirteen students from KG to XI standard, have enrolled themselves as participants. The two-day workshop taught the children ”Pragya Yoga”, which aims at enhancing the intuitive power present in each one of our children.

This workshop brougt out wonderful and amazing results with in two days. The miraculous performance by the children was a testimony to this.

On 15th April 2019, the students of Scintillate, Air Force Bal Bharati School were invited to attend the 25th Global Edition Celebrations of Women Economic Forum2019. The current club President Snigdha Mehra, current club Treasurer Naima Pallabi along with the vice – president of Interact Club 2017-18 Nunika Khungar; received an award for “Young Leaders creating a Better World For All”

The event was incredibly fruitful as the students of AFBBS received the opportunity to meet and converse with various people of excellence. A group discussion pertaining to Youth Empowerment and Gender Equality took place with fifteen female students of our school with our vice principal, Mrs Mani Shankra as the moderator. Following the Group Discussion, Two incredibly powerful performances were. One of them was conducted by Amisha Priyadarshini Dash and Aashi Singh with the help of students from the junior wing. The performance depicted the strength, resilience and perseverance of women. The second performance consisted of an English recitation which was performed by a group of immensely talented and passionate students from the students of the junior wing of Air Force Bal Bharati

MISSON N-MOLE CAREER-CONCLAVE

A career conclave and knowledge confluence session was organised for students and parents of Classes 6 to 12th on 2nd Feb' 2019. Approximately 40 National and International universities participated in this career fair. A stream selection and career guidance session was also organised on the same day for class 10th and their parents.

Career Encyclopedia was also distributed to the students and parents who attended the career fair.

The event was considered as a valuable and beneficial resource by the parents who appreciated this informative session.

HACKATHON CODE FOR SAFER INDIA 2019

Safer India Challenge 19-MoRTH, Mohua, DST, NCRB

30 Students of Air Force Bal Bharati School (15 Teams) participated in an online competition, Hackathon on 11.12.2019 in collaboration with lead automotive manufacturer “TOYTA” for the premier schools of Delhi. The Hackathon Aims at development implementable solutions in the form of a digital solution to promote road safety and to reduce the frequency and implant of road accidents in India.

Intra School Activity Physics Department 3rd Dec 2019

On the 3rd of Dec a surprise event competition was held for classes 8 A-F in which 26 students participated. Material was supplied to the students &they were asked to use their creativity to design their innovative cars. Students were given 5 attempts each to improvise their models to bring best results. The making of working car models was followed by a physics based viva vorce

VISIT TO THE MOTHERDAIRY (PATPARGAUNJ)

80 students of classes 8F & 8E visited Motherdairy on 5th August 2019 &learnt how milk is produced, it's advantages etc. and its constituents.

3.5 millions liters of milk is produced in Delhi branch mother dairy. Mother dairy produces also vegetables, oil, ghee, other milk products.

The speaker Mr. Jitin Chawla was the expert for guiding the students about studying skill, Stress buster and time management and change of perceptive techniques.

The objectives of the seminar is to instill and draw out the awareness about different Board Examination pattern of different teaching subjects and generate the important essential sense of interest and affiliation of chemistry as a subject among the students who are going to give their X and XII Board examination.

ACTIVITY::CHEMISTRY THROUGH PRECIPITATION REACTION

tudents of class X comprises a pool of Chemistry lovers and enthusiasts who participated in the competition ‘CHEMISTRY THROUGH PRECIPITATION REACTION’ in the month of July 2019 held in junior chemistry lab. Over 24 students from class X(section A to F) were participated in the event where they were Engaged in designing posters and charts with the help of different types of precipitation reaction such as : Na2SO 4(aq) +BaCl2 (aq)→2NaCl (aq)+BaSO4 (WHITE PPT).

And precipitates like Fe (OH)3, (Brown ppt),Fe(OH)2 (Green ppt), Na2SO 4(Blue)from various reactions.Following were the Results announced by our Honourable judges Ms.Reema Malik ( chemistry department) and Mr. B.Patnaiik (Batik Department):-

On 31st July 2019, the annual chemistry power point presentation making competition took place in the “Suryakiran Auditorium” in which the participants in pairs (From class 11 and 12) from all the 5 sadan’s had to make a power point presentation from the following topic's-

  • Waste water management.
  • Menace posed by plastic.
  • Modal for urban development in 2050.
  • Future sources of energy and food.
  • Polymer and nature.
  • Hydrogen as a fuel.

Out of which one topic could be used by maximum two sadan. Students were marked upon their:

  • Presentation
  • Seeking skill
  • Knowledge about the topic.
  • Ability to answer the cross questions by the audience and the judge Mrs. Reema Malik
  • Time limit (Min 6 to Max 8 Minutes)

Everyone’s presentation was very informative about the various topics.

Activity : Just a minute (JAM)

Just a minute talk competition was held for class 6-8 on 28-Nov-2019 by Chemistry department in Jr. Chemistry Lab.

Participants spoke (Extempore) on a given topic related to every day science for a minute. Each participant had to choose randomly out of 10 topics.

This activity conducted for young enthusiasts to speak their communication skills, ability to speak and to exert their scientific attitude about the topics.

In ‘Just a minute’ they used to recall the appropriate vocabulary, knowledge and confidence to comprehence in just one minute which is a good fluency practice.

As yearly the chemistry club put themselves in to make the arrangements and the quiz in which the participants in pairs (from class 11 and 12) from all the 5 sadan’s had come down to compete each other in the quiz.

The quiz had 3 rounds:-

  • The no negative marking round.
  • The negative marking round.
  • The picture/bonus round.

It was very interseting to see the audience, our judges Ms. Reema Malik & Mr. Vicky Ghansela being so keen, helpful and participating fully with enthusiasm.

Everyone was very excited about the results and the 3rd position was taken away by the Arjan sadan. Then there was a tie between the Katre sadan and the Subroto sadan so we had a tie breaker question for them as a rapid fire and the results were that the 2nd position was bagged by the Katre sadan and the 1st position was bagged by the Subroto sadan.

‘KALEIDOSCOPE' Event Organised by HT

Riddhima of class 4, Ayesha Iqbal of class 6, Aditi Patnaik of class 7 and Nibhendra Deo of class 8 along with the counselor and media co ordinator, Ms.Ritu participated in' Kaleidoscope' - a mega event organised by Hindustan Times on 7.12.18 at children's park, India gate lawns.The activities included an on the spot painting competition, magic show, band performance on patriotic songs and a workshop on self defense for teachers. The Interact Club of AFBBS with the Rotary Club, Delhi South End Branch invites your school to participate in the Inter School Movie Making Competitionduring the installationceremony, being held on 26th October 2017.

Please find enclosed a copy of the events, schedule and registration forms.
Last date of registration and uploading is 22nd October 2017.
We look forward to your whole hearted participation in this grand event.

Rules and Regulations:

  • A maximum of 2 directors per Team who will come for the competition and represent the Movie.
  • Each Team can have a maximum of 10 Members (excluding the Directors)
  • Open to students of classes IX to XII.
  • Movies will be adjudged on the basis of :
    i. Content/ relevance to the topic
    ii. Creativity
    iii. Originality
    iv. Cinematography
    v. Overall appeal
    vi. Improvisation

  • English and Hindi are the only languages to be used.
  • Any editing software can be used(software used should be specifiedin the description while uploading the video).
  • Credits to be mentioned in the end, including the sources
  • Length of the video should not exceed 5 minutes(Credits included).
  • The participants have to upload their movies on YouTube as “Le Grande Symposium: |your school name|” and send the link at interact.afbbs@gmail.com latest by 22nd October 2017.
  • Decision of the judges will be final and binding
  • Top 8 finalists will be shortlisted and the names will be uploaded on the school website by 25th October.
